 Group Play:
The league members will take part in 6 preliminary tournaments (Group Play) randomly drawn. At the end of these 6 events, the points are tallied and the pairings are finalized. Prize points are awarded as follows:
Winner: 10 points + 60% of prize pool
Runner-up: 7 points + 40% of Prize Pool
3rd place: 5 points
4th place: 3 points
5th place: 1 point
6th place: 0 points
In either an 18 or 24 person league, only the top 12 Advance. View the Drawing Sheet
Elimination Round of 12:
Players will start with T$25,000 chips for every point earned in the opening 6 tournaments.
The 12 will be split down into 3 pools of 4 players. Seeds for this round will be based on performance in the Group Play.
Table 1: Seeds # 1, 6, 7, 12 - Table 2: Seeds # 2, 5, 8, 11 - Table 3: Seeds # 3, 4, 9, 10
Note: Actual Seating is drawn at random prior to game play for EACH match.
Points & Prizes are awarded as follows:
Winner: 10 points + 100% prize pool
Runner-up: 7 points
3rd place: 4 points
4th place: 0 points
The points are accumulated from these 3 matches and the players with the highest points then progress to the quarter finals.
Quarter-finals
Players start with T$50,000 chips per point earned in the elimination round of 12.
The quarter-finals are 2 groups with 4 players in each group seeding is again based on performance from the previous round.
Table 1: Seeds # 1, 4, 6, 8 - Table 2: Seeds # 2, 3, 5, 7
Each group will play 2 matches where the top two finishers from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
Points & Prizes are awarded as follows:
Winner: 10 points + 100% prize pool
Runner-up: 5 points
3rd place: 3 points
4th place: 0 points
Semi-finals:
The winners of the quarter-finals matches will start the semi-finals with T$1,000,000 in chips while the runners up will start with T$700,000. These matches will be settles in a best two out of three heads up matches. The pairings are set up so that the winner of Table A plays the runner up of Table B and the winner of Table B plays the Runner up of Table A.
Finals:
The winners from the semi-final matches play each other for the title. Both players start with 1,000,000 in chips. And the winner is crowned in a best two out of three heads up match.
