The full format for the Doubles Event is as follows.
We will draw for partners for ONE match, and at the conclusion of that match you will RE-DRAW for partners. We’ll do this FOUR times, and the top 8 players will advance to the final table. Obviously there is no re-buy or add-on.
1st member of the team plays Pre flop and Turn, their partner plays the Flop and River. Once the hand is over they will alternate this sequencing. Each team is allowed ONE 30 second time-out per match to talk strategy. This is the ONLY time you may OPENLY discuss the hand DURING play. If you discuss the hand during play it is INSTANTLY DEAD.
Points are accumulated based on your team’s finish in each match. First=20, 2nd=11, 3rd=4 and 4=0. As an Individual, you accumulate these points and each where ultimately the top 8 players will advance to the final table for a ONE re-draw of partners for the entire Play-offs. And teams will play 3 matches. The top two teams are paid out. 65% (780 / 390 per player) for the first place team & 35% (420/210 per player) for the second place team.
The 8 players that bounce can either start up a cash game or play a sit ‘n’ go tournament. (re-buys are at the discretion of the 8 playing the game.
What’s a better weekend than Poker and the Super Bowl?
If you’d like to see an example of this played out.. .here’s a link to the Full Tilt show that aired on GSN earlier this year.
